One Love Cultured Kids was created by Kay Richards in Montclair NJ. What started as a way to commemorate black history month with her son’s classroom, has blossomed into an organization dedicated to collaborating with the community to share and celebrate our “distinctly rich and diverse American narrative.”
Our first project together was a map for the Juneteenth celebration at the Montclair Pre-K. The goal was to create an event map that could be easily edited and adjusted for future use.
For this project we worked together to create a collection of diverse icons that could be used for the One Love Cultured Kids website and social media.
