Bespoke Maps

Home town favorites, date night restaurants, coffee and parks, best shopping, unique gifts. Let’s create illustrated icons & maps of the places you love!

Read below for more on how I create my maps.

Enjoy the day

The idea behind my walk and wander maps was to capture a beautiful day of exploring a city on foot.

If you’re a planner you could use Google Maps to flag a few places you want to check out, but leave yourself open to distraction.

The first real step is to get out there, walk around the neighborhood, go into the cafe, snap a few pictures, and just take it in with fresh eyes.

1.

Iconic

Next, using pen and paper or procreate on my ipad I’ll create some small rough icons based on my pictures. Interesting shops, cool architecture, iconic landmarks — everything goes!

Walking maps are then created!

2.

Polish

Depending on the project, I will then pick a few icons to develop into a more finished piece.

These more detailed icons are what I use for my printed map projects, like this one for Walnut St.

I would love to create a custom map of your hometown, vacation spot or favorite city! Please reach out for more information.
